The Fowler Museum at UCLA (http://www.fowler.ucla.edu) is seeking several talented preparators to join our awesome crew for the upcoming spring exhibition schedule and the large 50th Anniversary exhibition this summer. This is a full-time/seasonal position with installation starting late January/early February.
Qualified candidates should have an interest in the arts and museum related work and must be able to show experience working for cultural or arts related organizations in the past. Applicants must have knowledge and skill in art handling, carpentry, brazing (mount making) as well as strong communication/organization/critical thinking skills. This position is physically demanding with considerable lifting, climbing and building. Candidates must be able to lift/move a minimum of 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent with strong math and writing skills.
