Thanks for your interest in volunteering with PACCIN! The members of the Board of Directors each lead a committee including Publications, Membership, Programs, and Executive. They all represent the collections care profession and are dedicated in supporting the PACCIN information network. Listed below are a few ways in which you can get involved with PACCIN, but we are open to suggestions too!
First, and foremost become a member!
Interested in helping our Publications Committee?
- Our Publications Committee manages our website and Listserv. It is the constant information network for PACCIN and needs a talented group to cover the ongoing flow.
- Write an article! - Have you completed a challenging installation? Solved a problem? Found a new way to improve communication or processes with your crew? We want to hear about it! Many of our articles can be found on our front page HERE. If you would like to post an article, email Chris, Chair of Publications at Chris@PACCIN.org
- Post a job! – Our job listings are one of the most active parts of the website forum. If you have a job coming up, post it to our jobs page HERE.
- Help us with our website! - Do you have web skills? We need you! Please email Chris, Chair of Publications at Chris@PACCIN.org for information on how to volunteer.
Interested in helping our Membership Committee?
- Recommend a featured member! - Every month PACCIN highlights a featured member with a short article. Check them out HERE.
If you would like to see someone featured, email your recommendation with a brief explanation to Jim, Membership Chair, at membership@paccin.org - Submit a short video of your story! - How did you become a preparator? What do you love most about your job? Tell us in a short video and we will post it to our website. Email your video to Mark, Board Chair, Mark@PACCIN.org
- Become a Membership Ambassador! - Help us build our constituency base by referring others to become members. The bigger and broader PACCIN’s membership base is, the stronger we are. We want to hear from you to determine what direction the organization should go in terms of providing educational content, events, and resources. - Host and/or sponsor a social! - Would you like to get preparators, collections professionals, service providers, and distributors together in your city for an informal networking opportunity? Email Jim, Membership Chair, at Membership@PACCIN.org for more information.
Interested in helping our Programs Committee?
- Our programs committee organizes all the PACCIN workshops and conferences.
- Send an email stating what your interest is to Julia@PACCIN.org
- Present at one of our upcoming conferences! - Have a project or topic you want to present? Visit our Workshops and Conferences page HERE to see what events are coming up and how to become a speaker.

- Like us on Facebook! Then invite your friends and colleagues to like us on Facebook too! Then post something!
- Add to our Facebook content! - Have an image of a tool cart you made, interesting projects you are involved with, perhaps vintage art handling photo, a neat crate stencil, and/or images from a PACCIN event? Submit your photos by email to Bianca@PACCIN.org, or through Facebook messenger and we will get them added to our photo albums.
- Join our group on LinkedIn! Then invite your friends and colleagues to join our group on LinkedIn too! Then post something!
