PACCIN is a Professional Interest Committee of AAM - American Alliance of Museums. PACCIN is an organization created by, and committed to supporting the work of, Hands-On Collections Care Professionals.

Our members include individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines in both the non-profit, and for-profit arenas.
We are a network of professionals engaged in dialogue with the goal of establishing the guidelines, and best practices needed to secure a sustainable future for the materials that illuminate our past, this while rooted solidly in the realities of the present.
If your job puts you in contact with Art, Artifacts, or other Collections materials and you are charged with their physical preservation then you are one of us. We invite you to participate in our website, list serve, workshops, and national conference.
At PACCIN we invite you to register and participate in our Forum and share your experiences and perspectives along with others with similar interests who are doing the same. Subscribe to topics or individual threads that interest you and you will be automatically notified when there are posts made in that area.

For lively and timely interaction on the most current of topics join the PACCIN listserve.
If you want the rare opportunity to meet many of your peers and interact about the most pressing issues of the day - face to face - make plans to attend our regional workshops as well our international Preparators conferences.

    Whether your title is -
Archivist, Art handler, Case Fabricator, Collections Staff, Collections Manager, Conservator, Conservation Technician, Exhibition Designer, Exhibition Technician, Exhibits Manager, Keeper, Installation Technician, Lighting Specialist, Logistics Consultant, Mountmaker, Museum Technician, Museum Consultant, Packer/Crater, Preparator, Registrar, Rigger
    - or something else entirely, we
invite you to participate and make your place in this community of caretakers of our shared cultural heritage.

    Welcome!
