THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Dispatcher and Operations Manager, the essential responsibilities of the Dispatch Assistant include coordinating vehicles and drivers for delivery assignments for clients.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of Dispatcher and Operations Manager, the dispatch assistant position will include the following responsibilities:
· Assists with making schedules, plans and organizes daily schedules to include pre-calls, BOLS ,confirms accuracy of jobs and client-specific instructions for delivery;
· Assists in monitoring and ensuring that Artex LA division completely adheres to all DOT regulations; including e-logs
· Evaluates and provides on-the-spot decision-making for ongoing projects;
· Assists in the maintenance and schedules repair work for fleet of company vehicles;
· Uses tracking systems to monitor active company vehicles;
· Alerts coworkers of any changes in the scope of a project or job.
· Orders materials and equipment for the Operations department.
· Provides general support to the Lead Dispatcher.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following as minimum qualifications:

· 1-2 years of related experience and/or training;

  • General knowledge of transportation and logistics;
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel;
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate problem resolution and conflict management situations;
  • Must be able to balance the needs of clients against the needs of the organization, or vice versa;
  • Must be detail-orientated with demonstrated self-development skills;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of or background in art or the art services industry helpful, but not required.




LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent skills in communicating effectively in oral and written form.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver’s License
