Atelier New York, the New York City branch of Atelier FAS, is seeking a Facilities Manager for a full time position to work as part of a team specializing in high end art packing for museums, galleries and private collectors. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the maintenance, general upkeep, appearance, safety, and compliance of Atelier FAS’s Long Island City warehouse, workshop, and offices. Qualified applicants should have some experience in facilities management and/or warehouse operations and be excited to grow with an established company expanding operations in New York. Working alongside the Operations Manager, the Facilities Manager will have a diverse skill set and be comfortable taking ownership of the role to help shape daily operations through their input.

Previous experience with crate construction, art storage and transportation, as well as material concerns related to artwork is a plus. The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager for daily operations and must have a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Must have the ability to work in a high pressure environment with a team devoted to getting the job done to the highest standard while keeping a cool head and an organized work space.




Responsibilities


• Ensuring that building maintenance is up to code and complies with all legal regulations


• Overseeing a facility with operations including crate shop, storage warehouse, art transport hub, and office


• Responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of shop, warehouse, office, and exterior property of the facility


• Maintaining a safe working environment for all employees


• Good verbal and written communication skills which will be used to maintain contact with office staff


• Ability to work well with others as well as the ability to work independently
