Welcome to a first edition of news and outreach for the PACCIN membership. This blog type newsletter will be produced as needed to keep our membership aware of major goals, accomplishments, and growth of our organization, its fascinating members, our corporate and institutional partnerships, and the many related trades of PACCIN overall.

If you want to submit material or otherwise participate in this newsletter please contact membership@paccin.org.

Upcoming Events

PACCIN has partnered with the AIC Connecting2Collections online learning programs to produce a series on major principles in lighting, case fabrication, art handling, and mount making. This is the second educational co-production that PACCIN developed with an affiliate organization, the first was in 2015 with ARCS. Further work is being perused through the STASH products and materials assessments initiative.
Please see Connecting2Collections for further details on this recent set of exciting online courses.

Major PACCIN Accomplishments, Initiatives, and Goals

In the four years following our formalization as a non-profit member based trade organization in 2014, PACCIN Membership and Program Committees have hosted 2 inter-nationally attended conferences in Pittsburgh and Fort-Worth for over 180 participants each, helped host three Social events around the country for up to 200 guests, and partnered in delivering three special training conferences in Los Angeles and Seattle.

Over the last year (2018) the Membership Committee has been working on identifying and implementing a new membership management portal with MemberPlanet. This effort ties into a larger goal to redevelop our website and the entire visitor experience of PACCIN online. We have seen significant registration and signups of our 200+ members through the new MemberPlanet portal, but do need all members to sign on and complete profiles to best serve and communicate with everyone.

The Publications Committee and Board will be working to prioritize the needs to redesign our website. Your membership dues, plus other specified financial contributions from sponsors and donors, are what make a major retooling of the PACCIN online presence and functionality possible. Thank you for joining, participating, and supporting.
