The Crating and Packing Department for an established NYC Art Handling Company is seeking an Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will be well versed in fine art crating and packing options from economy solutions to full-museum touring projects and all styles in between.

Responsibilities and abilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Overseeing and tracking projects while they are in the shop
- Client and interdepartmental coordination for completed projects
- Preparing job estimates in the absence of the Crating Manager
- Performing occasional site visits to assess projects
- Ability to perform a detailed condition report on an object
- Safe operation of all shop tools
- Inventory management and coordination of materials
- Excellent problem solving skills

In addition, candidate should have 2-4 years of college and 3 years experience specifically focusing on fine art crating and packing.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
