San Francisco, CaliforniaThe California Historical Society seeks a full time Exhibition Manager to assist its Director of Exhibitions with developing, coordinating, and mounting its exhibitions, from initial development through installation to dispersal. The California Historical Society is a mid-sized but expanding cultural institution in San Francisco's lively Yerba Buena district, within blocks of Market Street, which currently employs approximately twenty-eight (28) full- & part-time employees. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a museum/gallery and traveling exhibition environment; possess strong interpersonal skills; be a self-starter able to work independently; have excellent communication skills; & be comfortable with organizations in a rapid growth phase.
