We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and organized person to manage the planning and implementation of special exhibitions and collection-based installations.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the exhibition teams for each assigned project, working in close collaboration across departments
  • Act as a liaison to Museum departments, and occasionally external partners, to ensure consistent and timely communication on all matters pertaining to a project
  • Keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Work on budgets and contracts, and, where needed, exhibition tours
  • Coordinate multiple projects at a time

Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm with occasional evenings and weekends according to installation and event schedules


RequirementsThe Exhibition Project Manager (EPM) must have:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in project management within a museum setting
  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross-departmental teams while maintaining a great deal of organization and advance planning
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while sustaining a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with large teams
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, as well as TMS or similar collection databases
  • Experience maintaining project budgets and familiarity with museum operations
