Art Handlers/Drivers pack, install, and deliver artworks and crates to museums, galleries, and private clients in the Washington D.C. area and other locations. Art Handlers also assist in constructing crates that will be used in transportation of works. Art Handlers must handle objects that are fragile, heavy, or both, keep paperwork organized, and put in overtime as necessary.
Requirements:
Ability to crouch, bend, climb a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds for an extended period of time.
Previous art handling experience preferred.
Experience with woodworking and bench tools a plus.
The Art Handler/Driver must have a valid non-commercial driver's license. Offer contingent upon completion of a DOT Physical Exam.
