The Department of the Interior is devoted to protecting and preserving the
natural resources of this great nation, including National Parks,
Landmarks, and the well-being of communities, including those of Native
American, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and affiliated Islanders. *This
position is located in the Interior Museum at the U.S. Department of the
Interior in Washington, DC. The Interior Museum develops and implements
exhibitions, collections, programs, and activities that document and
interpret the history and work of the Department of the Interior. The
Interior Museum manages a collection of approximately 6000 permanent
artifacts comprised of the museum permanent collections and the Office of
the Secretary Art-in-Office Program as well as numerous other artifacts
borrowed for exhibit and program purposes.

If selected for this position, you will be working for the U.S. Department
of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, Museum Services Branch in
Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for performing general museum
duties related to the operations, physical plant, collections care,
exhibitions, outreach activities, and administration of the Interior Museum.
