Museum Preparator- Temporary/As-Needed
San Francisco International Airport
Hourly: $22.06
SFO Museums seeks temporary/as-needed Preparators to assist with preparing and constructing props, production and installing individual and generic mounts, backgrounds and partitions for museum exhibitions throughout the Airport.
SFO’s Museum produces around forty exhibits annually on themes of art, history, science, and culture, and features over twenty galleries throughout the Airport, including the San Francisco Airport Commission Aviation Library and Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum, which has a permanent collection of over 90,000 objects related to the history of commercial aviation.
Requirements:
One year of experience in the preparation, installation, deinstallation and the care and handling of valuable art objects at a museum/ gallery; OR Associate’s degree or higher with major course work in art, fine arts, museum studies or related fields, AND 6 months of experience mentioned above. 5 additional years of experience preferred.
