Collections and Historic Properties Assistant / Hayward Area Historical Society
Hayward, CaliforniaThe Society seeks a self-motivated, detail-orientated and multitasking team member with strong research, organizational, communication and collections management skills to assist the Collections and Historic Properties Manager.

Responsibilities:assist in all aspects of collections management; managing maintenance, conservation and restoration projects at three historic properties; the research, development and implementation of specialty programs; and management of activities and volunteers at the historic properties.

Qualifications:BA in History or a related field preferred; MA in Museum Studies or experience in collections management preferred; demonstrate strength in meeting deadlines; the ability to work as a team player; the ability to work in a fast paced environment; the ability to lift 50 pounds; must have a car and valid driver’s license.
