Chief Preparator/Production Supervisor / Skirball Cultural Center

The Skirball Cultural Center seeks qualified candidates for the position of Chief Preparator/Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities: Manage and participate in all aspects of exhibition production, preparation, and installation. Oversee fabrication, installation, maintenance, and de-installation of temporary and permanent exhibitions. With Exhibition Manager, propose and manage exhibition budgets for labor, materials, fabrication, construction, and graphics. Supervise preparators, temporary crews, and outside vendors. Supervise and assist with all construction necessary for maintenance of collections or installation of exhibitions. Establish and maintain excellent relationships and communication across the Skirball departments as well as with outside contractors and consultants.
Qualifications: Five years of experience in exhibition production, with three years supervising. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; design, architecture, or related field preferred. Exceptional organizational, communications, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs; proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks preferred.
