The Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, Georgia, seeks a registrar to oversee all aspects of registration including care of permanent collection and handling of incoming/outgoing loans and exhibitions. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining all collections records, overseeing movement of art, and assisting with exhibition installations. The registrar is also responsible for coordinating fine arts insurance coverage, monitoring environmental conditions, and handling all photographic rights and reproductions. Position requires B. A. in museum studies, art history, history, or related field; proficiency in word processing and Photoshop; knowledge of general database or computerized collection management systems; and superior written, verbal, and organizational skills. M.A. required and 4-6 years museum experience preferred. Salary commensurate with experience and education. Generous benefits package.
