Position Overview
Baylor University is seeking a Collections Manager with deep appreciation for art and its cultural & educational value. This position is responsible for assisting the Art Director with the conservation and maintenance of all art collections managed by Martin Museum of Art, and collaboratively working with the Office of Internal Audit with the research & management of artwork on the Baylor Campus.
The successful candidate for this position will:
Possess a love for artwork and enjoys the museum environment
Be a self-starter and works well without supervision
Have strong decision making abilities with consideration of University budget
Possess the ability to plan & execute work in a timely fashion
Be creative and be able to solve problems
Qualifications
A Master's degree, one year of relevant work experience, experience in museum collections and a Christian faith are required. Three years of relevant work experience are preferred. Prior art museum experience is desirable.
