Registrar, Temporary Position, New York City: Immediate Start
For our distinguished non-profit client we are currently seeking a full-time
temporary registrar to assist with an ongoing exhibition program of
photography. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of
coordinating the production, shipment and installation of artwork at both
the non-profit's location and for traveling and off-site exhibitions in
addition to managing the storage of the permanent collection. Duties
include arranging packing, shipping and insurance; preparing condition
reports; conducting inventory; overseeing cataloguing and other databases;
other duties as required. Familiarity with best practices, experience with
photography and excellent project management, communications and
organizational skills are essential. Immediate start date for employment
through October with possible work through December 2017. Competitive
