*Collection Management Intern*
The Hudson River Museum seeks an intern to improve digitization of the
collection on its TMS database and on the Internet. Goals are to increase
the number of collections database records having images and add
interpretive content and images to the Museum’s platform on Google Arts &
Culture. Tasks include processing and attaching existing photography to
TMS; taking new photography of small objects (such as souvenirs and
personal accessories); and uploading existing label content and new
photographs to Google Arts & Culture. Intern reports to the curatorial
department chair. Familiarity with collection databases desirable,
particularly The Museum System (TMS) by Gallery Systems. Basic knowledge of
Photoshop Elements required to crop and resize images for attachment to the
TMS database.
