Private collection seeks Professional Registrar in the Miami area:
Responsibilities:
Maintain computer and paper data files on all objects in collection
Maintain records of accession, condition and location of objects
Coordinate and oversee packing and shipping of items
Maintain inventory lists with insurance company
Coordinate installation and re-installation of paintings, drawings, sculptures and databases
Correspondence with museums, galleries, and other art professionals
Requirements:
BA in Art History or equivalent
Minimum 5 years registrar experience
Proficiency with Filemaker Pro database system
Knowledge and network of museum, shipping, conservation and framing professionals
Training in and knowledge of best practices in art handling, collection management
