The Senior Registrar, reports to the Acting Manager of Collections, Exhibitions and Conservation and is a member of the Registration Department of the Cantor Arts Center (CAC). His/her primary role is to organize manage, and care for the museum’s permanent collection. Profession-wide, museum principles and standards are used as guidelines in handling, exhibition, and preservation of art collections. S/he works closely with the registration, exhibition and preparation staff, curatorial staff, and students in addition to conservators, donors, institutional and private lenders, shippers and craters, insurance providers, and customs brokers.
