Caitlin Bermingham has worked in the museum field since 1988, starting at the ICA Boston, and then at Artex Fine Art Services in New York with several New York and DC area museums as clients. She held various technical positions while at Artex, ultimately becoming the Artex NYC Crating and Packing Manager. In 2007, Caitlin started at the Whitney Museum of American Art as the Associate Head Preparator, managing exhibitions and consulting on collection handling and care. Her career in specialized packing and crating began in 1997 while preparing for an Alexander Calder retrospective at the National Gallery of Art. She has since overseen many complex and multi-venue museum exhibitions from Paul Thek to Jeff Koons’s traveling retrospective. She has a BFA from School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and Tufts University, and a MFA from the School of Visual Arts, NY.
