The PACCIN Membership Chairperson leads the membership committee (3-5 members) for the organization and is responsible for the recruitment of new members as well as managing the current membership. The chairperson will conduct regular monthly meetings (45+ minutes) with the committee.

Membership Recruitment
The membership chairperson is responsible for the marketing and outreach to expand membership for the organization.

  • Managing database of PACCIN mailing lists
  • Online outreach via email and social media
  • Outreach to other collection care networks


Membership Management
Reaching out to existing members is another primary responsibility of a membership committee chairperson. Hosting events for members and retaining existing members are other responsibilities required.

  • Manage online Membership Database (Wild Apricot)
  • Monthly monitoring of membership statistics and trends
  • Oversee quarterly Membership newsletter
  • Provide reminders for membership renewals
  • Conduct surveys with members

  • Other organizational accounts when needed



Member of the Board of Directors
The Membership Chairperson is a member of the Board of Directors and represents the Membership Committee to the overall board. Beyond the general duties and responsibilities as a director on the board the chairperson develops, maintains and leads change related to the administration of membership-specific policies and bylaws.

The Membership Chair is appointed by the Board of Directors. The chair will serve a four-year term with possible reappointment by the Board of Directors not to exceed two consecutive terms.
