Museum Registrar/Collections Database Manager

Hagley Museum & Library seeks a highly organized, detailed oriented,
self motivated museum professional to manage the accessioning,
deaccessioning, and loaning of the museum?s diverse object collection
using the Vernon museum collections management database. Candidates
must have a high level of computer literacy, legible handwriting, and
the ability to lift heavy objects. Experience in detailed research
and complicated database problem solving would be beneficial.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in museum studies, history, or
related field required; Experience in museum registration and museum
collections management databases required. Appropriate master's degree
highly desirable. Requires stamina and ability to lift and move
artifacts, legible handwriting, accurate typing, attention to detail,
and excellent organizational skills. Familiarity with the Vernon
systems collection management database desirable. Experience with
museum loans, rights and reproductions, and on-line collections access
desired. Valid driver's license and availability of car necessary to
perform duties as outlined above.
