Job Description
Art gallery is seeking an experienced and professional Assistant Registrar. Responsibilities include assistance in the preservation, management and tracking of gallery and auction inventory. Duties include arranging and managing all incoming and outgoing shipments of art. Other responsibilities include entering incoming artwork's in gallery database, maintaining hardcopy files as well as assistance with collections management and storage. Position works directly with the art handling team and is directed by the gallery Registrar. Candidate needs to be comfortable handling and unpacking two and three dimensional art. Candidate MUST be well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Requirements
B.A. in Museum Studies, Art History or other related area and one year of museum registration and/or collections management experience preferred. Knowledge of collections management practices and procedures including art handling, storage and tracking of objects. Auction experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook and strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
