At Downing Frames we specialize in custom-built, handmade frames using museum quality framing practices in Long Island City, Queens.

We are looking to hire a full-time fitter who is hardworking, detailed oriented, and a team player. We need someone who can work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Daily Responsibilities include:

-Fitting high-end art into custom frames
-Hinging works on paper
-Cutting mats 4-12ply
-Art handling/packing art

Qualifications:

-At least 2 years experience fitting high-end artwork

- Must be able to lift 150 lbs. daily

-Experience in hinging works on paper
-Experience with mat and making mats
-Experience handling and packing art

Salary is commensurate with experience.
